Innovative program that benefits both patients and physicians
Raenali Publications® is a leading provider of patient education in the field of nephrology. The company was created to help nephrologists educate their patients about kidney disease and improve patient outcomes. The workshop series “My Kidneys. My Options. My Life.TM” is the featured product.
Workshops are typically given one-to-one (one patient to one educator), however, they can be given in a group setting.
When given individually, workshops are commonly given in an office practice setting (just like an office visit). Each workshop visit is comprised of three parts: a specific video, patient materials and discussion with an educator.
The workshops are divided into six different topics. These include:
- Learning About My Kidneys and Kidney Disease
- Learning What I Can Do About Kidney Disease
- Learning About My Options—Transplantation
- Learning About My Options—Dialysis
- Learning About My Options—Informed Decisions and Conservative Treatment
- Living My Life—Learning to Live Well with CKD
The workshop series “My Kidneys. My Options. My Life.™” is designed for patients with chronic kidney disease stage 4. Family, friends and loved ones will frequently attend with the patient.
Most patients with CKD can improve their health with education. Workshop 1 contains basic information that can be helpful to patients with CKD stage 3.
CMS has provided coverage for CKD education under Medicare and has issued specific guidance concerning the content and extent of covered education. The Raenali program “My Kidneys. My Options. My Life.™” was developed in conformance with current CMS guidelines.
One of the primary goals of Raenali is to make CKD education affordable and available to all patients affected by chronic kidney disease. With that in mind, subscription pricing is tailored to the specific needs of each subscriber practice, to include products, setup and training, and ongoing support.
